Vintage Aloha 1963

So yesterday Lynn and I drove off 200 miles to take a look at a 1961 Aloha Vintage Camper trailer. After spending 8 months looking at restoration of retro campers.

There was a guy who had over 8 different little vintage campers. I was really quite impressed by the 10 foot Comet but it was in bad shape. We got what we were searching for. The lovely, very original Aloha.

So the 200 mile drive home was rough. The van was running hot.
Good thing there isn't much wrong with the camper.
And someone is a Happy Camper

So We get it home and The Work Began.  Gutting it.

There was a stove and oven that was removed.  The weight of that had to be 100 pounds!

The Water tank is sorta gross but, we cleaned it up and kept it.

All the badly painted white siding came out.  Reworking the wiring throughout the camper.

Facing the read of the camper. Fresh New Birch Siding has gone in.  It smells pretty.
